Materials
- Images of plants (including evergreen, deciduous, nonflowering, flowering, edible, and inedible plants with a short, easy-to-read description about the plant
Events of Instructions
- Complete a sorting activity in groups
- Once the students have sorted the plants into categories (flowering, nonflowering, edible, inedible, deciduous, evergreen, edible, or inedible) based on the clues, they will present to the class what they have found.
Assessment
The presentation that the groups give at the end of the lesson will be one of the main assessments. Students will also be required to write a follow-up of the sorting activity, briefly describing what they learned and what they found fascinating.
